# Zen Browser My current daily driver for all things web browsing related. At the moment for whatever reason aesthetics + its functions and focus on privacy as much as humanly possible is working out really nicely. One of the most important things to me is the ability to container your websites, so other websites can't snoop through your cookies and figure out where you've been or what you've been looking at, especially social media cookies and saved data. So if I have a container for all socials, and then another container for more important sites such as my banking, work related items, code hosting, etc, my social won't be able to snoop and see which sites I've been looking into and begin 'personalising' and targeting me with ads such as switching banks or hosting my code in a different place. Not to mention I definitely do not want them seeing **how** I use certain sites so that they can either sell me more things based on that, or sell that data to other services and they will find out exactly which features I'd be willing to pay for. And suddenly, what used to be free now costs money and it becomes a pain because they **know** that you require those particular features. Because it is Firefox based, and we don't have to deal with Google here moving everything over to Manifest V3, [[uBlock Origin]] is completely functional and you can still use the [addons](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/) website from Firefox to still install extensions, since Zen Browser is built off of Firefox. Everything works quite well and is very aesthetically pleasing to work with. What more could be asked for when you use a piece of software like this every single day. Not to mention the customisability via specifically [[Zen Mods]], as well as digging into the profile settings and customising the looks and fonts via userChrome.css.
